Introduction:
The goal of the technology team is to implement the use of technology throughout the district. In order to do so, the technology team, the faculty, and the students will work together to gain an understanding of how technology can be utilized in the classroom. It is through training that the skills and knowledge become more comfortable to our Loraine ISD family and success becomes a reality.
The Task
Clearly the technology team has their work cut out for them. Most of the Loraine Faculty are novice in their technology skills and knowledge. Throughout the coming school years, the tech team will be given the opportunity to train the faculty, and the students on the implementation of technology in the classroom. Mini workshops are planned for the Fall of 2000 and will carry on throughout the academic year.
Resources
The faculty and students will have access to on-line tutorials via the hyper links listed below and the internet. The tech team will also be available for answering questions and to guide other members of the Loraine family through the "Technology Twilight Zone."

Instructional Process
* Plan and align the technology curriculum so that it is sequential and complete.
* Create handouts on the legal facets of technology and plan inservices
* Develop and present mini workshops and inservices on technological needs
* Allot time and financial resources to upgrade technological needs of the district
* Instruct all new and returning faculty and students on basic computer literacy
* Continue to regularly update the school's web page
* Use the TEKS Technology Plan throughout the district
Evaluation of Future Plans
* Updating the Acceptable Use Policy annually
* Continue training the staff and students to use available and new technology
* Continue to provide the staff and students resources guides and bulletins regularly
* Provide trouble shooting assistance to the staff and students on a timely basis
* Implement a "Needs Assistance" communicate for the staff and students
* Acquisition of more grants
* Distant Learning and Dual Credit courses with Universities
* Continued growth of the School's Web page with additional resource links
Conclusion
In conclusion, the implementation plan is a workable plan for Loraine ISD. With the assistance of the Tech Coordinators, Region 14 ESC, and the willingness of the faculty and students, success is more than just a word....it is a reality.
